Side A: large temple in the middle of the body showing two figures and a horse inside. The figure on the right is armed and wearing a cloak and is holding the horse by the bridle. The figure on the left appears to be naked. On the left, three figures: a seated woman, body to the left and head to the right, dressed in a chiton-himation and holding a box in her right hand. Below, a standing man, armed, with his coat hanging down his back and boots. The third figure is seated with spear and shield, wearing a cloak, facing right (gap) and a young man leaning forward holding a crown and a band. The figures under the aedicula represent Troilus, who has come to water his horse at a basin (louterion), surprised by Achilles, who attacks by grabbing the animal by the bridle. The subordinate and anonymous figures on either side of the main scene show by their presence the funerary significance of the myth.

B side: in the middle, temple with large vase inside and cantharos in front of the building (typical of the workshop of the Ilioupersis painter). Two figures on the left: a man with a cloak around his hips is sitting on a curve of land, his body turned to the left and his head to the right, facing the temple. He is holding a basket in his right hand and leaning on his left. Below him, a woman dressed in a chiton, facing right, holds a box in her left hand and a crown in her right. On the right, three figures: a man, the body turned to the right and his head to the left, holding the same box and crown as the woman on the left. Below, a man in contraposto with a cloak falling from his shoulders is facing left. A third female figure, wearing a chiton, bends down to pick up a large basket. The two sides of the amphora are separated by palmettes and bounded by a meander line. Floral decoration on the neck and tongues on the shoulders.
