ABOUT Ave Caesar!
The exhibition held at the Antikenmuseum Basel und Sammlung Ludwig is devoted to the importance of the River Rhine for the early history of our region and for the whole of Europe, and highlights the epoch-making changes brought about by Caesar's campaigns. The main subject are the political, cultural and economic relationships between the Rhine region and the Mediterranean civilisations.
